Fracture Behavior of Headed Studs: Ductile Fracture of Cold Heading Steel ML15

In this paper, the fracture behavior of ML15 cold heading steel was investigated based on ductile theory. Smooth and notched bar, flat grooved tensile–shear mixed plate specimens were designed, tensile tests carried out to examine mechanism ML15. The micromechanical characteristics surfaces different studied by performing scanning electron microscopy. results showed that under stress states micro morphologies. Rice–Tracey model Bai–Wierzbicki calibrated using test results. Based locus, a finite element is developed compared results, which confirms feasibility locus for metal failure analysis.
